French
Dressing Liver and Onions 2
lbs calf liver sliced to 1/4 inch thick 1
small bottle of French Dressing (wishbone or any brand you prefer) 4
onions (cut in half and sliced) 1
cup of Italian seasoned bread crumbs (or flour) Salt 1/4
tsp pepper 1/4
to 1/2 stick of butter Oil
for frying 1.
Wash and pat liver dry. Pour French Dressing into a bowl and add
liver
slices. Coat thoroughly, cover and refrigerate for about 1/2 hour. 2.
Slice Onions and fry in small skillet with butter, salt and pepper. Cook
until
clear and starting to brown. 3.
Let liver pieces drip for a few seconds and then coat thoroughly in
Italian
seasoned bread crumbs. 4.
In separate fry pan heat oil in a frying pan and place liver in pan and
cook until
golden brown - about 3-4 minutes per side 5.
Serve Liver with Onions on top, mashed potatoes and your favorite
vegetable. IF
you don't want to use the French Dressing soak liver in 1 cup of Milk
before coating with bread crumbs.
