Fools Toffee

You got to try this recipe it is one of my favorites!

1 cup Butter                                               12 oz milk chocolate chips

1 cup Brown Sugar                                    1/2 cup Ground Almonds (or walnuts)

2-2 1/2 sleeves saltine crackers (buy the cheap ones)

 

  1. Line a 10x15jelly roll pan with foil

  2. Spray pan with non-stick cooking spray on top of foil

  3. Cover entire floil area with a single row of saltines

  4. Bring butter and brown sugar to a boil and cook for 4 minutes

  5. Pour over saltines and smooth out to edges

  6. Preheat oven to 350º and bake saltines for 5minutes

  7. Remove from oven and immediately top with bag of chocolate chips.

  8. Smooth the melted chocolate over the top of the saltines covering completely

  9. Sprinkle with ground nuts

  10. Refrigerate for 1 hour

  11. Lift foil out of pan and break toffee into pieces.

Make 2 batches because this goes quickly!
